Education

Experience

I received a bachelor's degree in Neurobiology from Harvard University in 2011. I'm attending Loma Linda University to earn my master's degree. I participated in a two-year post-graduate program tutoring Christian college students in their coursework. I helped elementary-level students at an after-school program. I am capable of tutoring students in many subjects at various levels. My favorite subject is writing, such as college essays, creative writing, and high school and college English. I enjoy helping students discover ideas and turn them into a well-written essay. In addition to writing and English, I tutor students in algebra, the SAT, the MCAT, biology, and biochemistry. I believe that self-discovery leads to the best learning results. It's my job as a tutor to guide students as they find the correct answer. Students should have a thorough understanding of the material and its application, rather than knowing just enough to pass their next exam. During my tutoring sessions, I try to tailor each one to students as an individual. I aim to ensure that they have the tools and knowledge necessary to achieve total academic success. Outside of tutoring, I am a faithful attendant at my church. I also enjoy singing in the choir and going running.
