I am currently a Junior Physics Major at San Jose State University, having studied physics and mathematics at Cabrillo College in Aptos, CA.

Experience

During my stay at Cabrillo College I was employed as a MESA tutor on campus. MESA is the Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement Center and is designed to help students excel in the sciences. I have also worked in a program entitled PREP. PREP was a program that took aspiring science majors that were having difficulty pursuing their major because of a lack of mathematical abilities and did a two-week intensive course on pre-calculus in the summer as well as a mandatory weekly meeting during the semester. My duties in the PREP program were to make lessons, assign homework, and teach/develop skills that were needed to pass pre-calculus.
