Hi, I'm a recent PhD graduate from Columbia University. I'm passionate about teaching, and I'm working towards pursuing it as a career. In addition to my experience as a private chemistry and math tutor, I have been a teaching assistant for several undergraduate and graduate-level organic chemistry courses, and an 11th grade teacher at an elite prep school in Singapore. Together, I have 5 years of experience in planning lessons, running classrooms and labs, writing and grading assignments, and helping students meet the demands of difficult subjects. Working individually with students, whether it's in office hours as a TA or as a private tutor, has always been the most productive and exciting part of teaching. It's these 1-on-1 interactions where I can hone in on what is challenging a student, and help them develop strategies that work for them to overcome those challenges. As a tutor, I specialize in organic chemistry, general chemistry, math (up to calculus), and standardized test prep & strategies.
