I believe the outcome of tutoring should be a student who confidently overcomes an educational barrier by fully comprehending the techniques and methods needed to derive the correct solution, and is able to easily apply what they've learned in the classroom. As a tutor, my goal is to help students avoid struggles by taking techniques and methods, and breaking them down into manageable pieces so students walk away with an understanding that dissolves their confusion and increases their confidence in their abilities. My tutoring career began during high school, when I was given the opportunity to work with a charter middle school by helping students with their coursework. After graduating from Occidental College with degrees in Theater and Psychology, I taught Theater to a group of students in an after-school program, and worked as an intern for two LA theater companies. Most recently, I helped out first and second grade students as an associate teacher. I specialize in helping students prepare for the SAT test and various Math subjects. However, I'm also skilled in helping students with Reading, Grammar, Psychology, Writing, English, and Social Sciences.My love of the Theater keeps me busy, but I also enjoy trying a new craft project, reading a good book, or stretching my mind over a good board game with friends.
