I earned my Biomedical Engineering Degree Cum Laude from California Polytechnic in June of 2020, where I had a cumulative GPA of 3.55. I am currently in my gap year working as a medical assistant while in the process of applying to medical school. During my time at Cal Poly, I was the president of a large club on Campus called the medical design club that brought science and engineering students together to develop novel technology. I conducted research in the field fast-acting medical diagnostic tests, and I led a project working to develop a mirror-image protein drug for migraine headaches. I am extremely passionate about teaching, for, as a future doctor that didn't find an interest in biology until around my Junior year of high school, I am hoping that I can help strengthen the understanding of the next generation of students!

Originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, I am currently working as an assistant to a vascular surgeon in the San Francisco Bay Area. In my free time, I enjoy spending my time outdoors - exploring national parks, hiking, camping, backpacking, and, most recently, surfing! I am an avid golfer, and I used to participate regularly in long-distance road biking tours. I enjoy traveling and learning about new cultures - I was an exchange student for a summer in Shanghai, China, and I can speak mandarin conversationally. When I'm in the house, I enjoy cooking, playing guitar, and spending time with my friends, family, and my Airedale.
