I have 10 years' experience as a professor of writing at the college level. I have taught at community colleges, private universities, public universities, writing centers, and tutoring centers. I’ve helped hundreds of students over my years of teaching, and read thousands of essays on dozens of topics. I’ve seen it all. My approach is process-oriented, which means you will develop strategies you can bring to any writing-related tasks. I won’t just help you with difficult assignments; I will help you build your skills (and confidence)! I’m happy to work with college students, high school students applying to college, ESL and non-native English speakers, non-traditional students – anyone who’s interested in improving their skills! I want to help you improve your writing skills – and I can guarantee you will!

Hobbies
I love to read and write! These are really more my obsessions than my hobbies, though. I also love getting outdoors and hiking, working on my French (c'est un peu mal), and I'm a huge comedy nerd. Favorites include Steve Martin and Eddie Izzard. What else? I'm also obsessed with cats and I will stop what I'm doing at any time to say hello to any cat I see. My favorite books I've taught recently are The Vegetarian by Han Kang, Siddhartha by Herman Hesse, and Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I love classics just as much as contemporary fiction.
