I am patient, reliable, and enjoy teaching math! Many of my students tell me that I explain math in a way that is easy for anyone to understand. I use HOLT worksheets, which students enjoy, to supplement my lessons and help students to master the concept. I will also identify any basic math concepts that are missing or need review in order that a student perform at their best potential. My tutoring career began over 4 years ago when I started helping my own child and his classmates who were struggling with Algebra. Many of my students have raised their Algebra grade one or more levels! Throughout my career, I have assisted many friends, relatives, and classmates in their math courses. My specific areas of expertise are Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Algebra, Pre-Calculus, SAT Math and GMAT preparation. I have also helped many with their GED preparation. Before tutoring, I worked as both a product and computer software engineer for IBM and other entrepreneurial, high-tech Silicon Valley companies. I am also a licensed California General Contractor and worked in the home remodeling business in the south bay.

My hobbies are cooking, horseback riding, gardening, spending time with family, and traveling. I've been to France four times and love the language, culture, and beauty of the French countryside and Riviera (quite similar to California!)
