Experience
I have tutored French and History for the last four years. Over my career I have worked in Europe, Canada, Africa and the US. Originally in as a PR person in High Technology, more recently as a Renewable Energy business development and marketing expert giving conferences and sales pitches around the world and in different languages. I handled the media relations for the nuclear industry in Canada during the Three Mile Island nuclear emergence and wrote my Master's thesis on that topic. I did not defend the thesis because I left Canada for Silicon Valley during that time frame. As an anecdote, I discussed nuclear energy with Ceaucescu, the Romanian dictator and we actually did end up selling them a CANDU reactor at Cernavoda. I was also part of the team working with Billy Diamond, the Cree leader successfully sued and stopped the La Grande River James Bay Energy project, at the time the largest hydroelectric project in the world. I am presently translating a play for a Palme d'Or award winning playwright into French.
