I am currently a graduate student at SJSU, in molecular and microbiology. Graduated from UCSC (2012), majored in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology, with a dual concentration in biochemistry and immunology.
Experience
I have been a teaching assistant for different courses at SJSU, most recently Micro 101 and Biol 1A. I have tutored for 6 years. I have worked as a tutor for the YMCA, with children in kindergarten up to 8th grade. Additionally, I have been a private tutor for individuals taking college courses in a variety of subjects, physics, chemistry, and biology, while doing my undergraduate work.

Hobbies
A lot of my interests are diverse in that they allow me to learn something new. A few are music, hiking, and building things, each allowing me to explore things in ways that a textbook or a classroom setting would not allow me to see. My aspiration is to complete a PhD and transition into work revolving around vaccine creation, or immune system bolstering mechanisms, that can possibly be used for a career doing work for the CDC, or similar organizations.
