San Francisco State University - BA, Broadcasting and Communication Arts , San Jose State University - Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Elementary Education

I earned my bachelor's at San Francisco State University in Broadcasting and Communication Arts. Since then I have spent a lot of my time working with students of all ages, and in 2010 I earned a credential in teaching from San Jose State University that allowed me to travel to South Korea, where I served as an ESL and conversation teacher for both young students and adults. Traveling gave me a new perspective on my home and led me to return to the San Francisco area. I taught Science and Math in middle school before moving on to my current position as a sixth-grade teacher in the subjects of Ancient Civilizations and Reading/Language Arts. In addition to all the subjects I have mentioned, I am also comfortable teaching and tutoring gifted students, students with special needs, and assisting high schoolers as they prepare for standardized exams like the SSAT and STAAR. When not in the classroom I like to stay active by hiking or golfing, as well as learning new recipes with my wife.
