Experience
I value and enjoy working with students of all ages, especially children in kindergarten through eighth grade, and have a lot of experience working with them. I am able to relate well to them while providing them with guidance. Some of my relevant experience: - Long-term academic tutoring for a bright 10th grader with a severe learning and developmental disability as well as helping with organizing his time, prioritizing his tasks, and following up (current). - Taught toddlers which had no previous schooling experience as well as preschool and various elementary-school-aged students the basics of reading, pronouncing, and understanding the Arabic language (2009-2014). Qualified to teach adults but no professional experience. - Instructed a group of 14 students aged nine and ten as a summer camp counselor (summer 2014). - Mentored a group of nine third-grade girls both individually and in group settings in a supportive and nurturing environment (summer 2013).
